Ace at 26?
You bet. Tim Hudson has become the ace of the A's young
pitching staff. After making his major league debut at the ripe
"old" age of 24, Hudson has brought him self to the edge of major league
stardom. An All-Star at 25, a Cy-Young runner up at 26, you would think
there is nothing much else to do. Wrong, Hudson continues to get better
with age. At the end of the 2001 season, he owned the best winning
percentage of any pitcher since 1900 with 50 or more decisions. Give
the name stinger, he sure lives up to it, with his firery attitude and bull
dog approach to pitching. Don't let his small stature fool you.
He'll make your knees buckle.
